Im still taking Stepping classes now.The dance started in Chicago when people from Mississippi move the State looking for work back in the 40`s and 50`s The dance comes from the Bop or swing the same count was 123 123 rock which is the same 8 count just in a different way like 123-456-7-8.But still there is some people.There are many styles to this dance some say Its the Bop and others say swing.One thing for sure ballroom is the most interesting dance there is for the Black community.R Kelly say its away of life you live It and Breath It.It`s a Culture.The popularity has gown everybody is teaching the dance and selling Dvd`s and books about ball rooming on the market.Most classes are in Nite clubs and some people cont go to Nite clubs but they want to learn too.I created a Niche Market for people that want to Ballroom in private,i have a Dance Studio in Flint Michigan.I teach Tango,salsa,line dance and social my prices are 25.00 for 1 hour and If you dont learn you get your money.
